DURBIN

Janet Marie Durbin, age 64 of Decatur died at 9:34 pm. Saturday, December 8, 2018 in
St. Mary’s Hospital.

A visitation for Janet will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Friday, December 14, 2018 at
Salem Baptist Church (2650 Taylorville Road Decatur, Illinois). Funeral service will be
11:00 am. Saturday, December 15, 2018 also at the Church. Burial will be in Macon
County Memorial Park Harristown, Illinois. Memorials if desired may be made to the
Salem Baptist Church or to Macon Resources. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care
is in charge of the arrangements.

Janet was born in July of 1954 in La Feria, Texas the daughter of Amos and Helen
Durbin. She loved collecting Angels and Tinker Toys. Janet enjoyed the Municipal Band
Concerts in Central Park, and was quite fond of popcorn and strawberry milkshakes. She
was very active at Macon Resources here in Decatur.

Surviving are her mother, Helen Durbin of Decatur, sister, Joyce ((Stan) Trichel of
Archie, Missouri, nephew, Eric (Heather) Trichel of Effingham, Kansas, nieces, Tiffany
(Walter) Mochama of Edwardsville, Kansas, Amanda Trichel of Archie, Missouri, seven
great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Amos Durbin, Maternal and Paternal
grandparents.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the ICU staff at St. Mary’s for keeping
Janet comfortable. Special thanks to the 44th street group home for their care over the
last four years and also to the many friends and family who helped while Janet was still at
home.
